ASU swears in new police officers

Two new campus police officers were sworn in at Adams State University Dec. 7. Joining the ASU PD force are Sam Olsen and Patrick Brownfield. Adams State President Beverlee J. McClure and Adams State Chief of Police Paul Grohowski welcomed them to campus at the swearing-in ceremony held Monday.

Grohowski administered the Law Enforcement Oath to both men, who then received their ASU PD badges.

Brownfield previously served 18 years with the Alamosa Police Department, attaining the rank of corporal. He also served with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office and served five years in the U.S. Army.

Olsen comes to Adams State after two years with the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office, where he became a deputy.
