ASU will host Brass Quintet Recital

The Adams State University Department of Music is pleased to present the Session Brass in concert at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, in Leon Memorial Hall. This concert is open to the public. All proceeds go to the Adams State Chapter of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME).

The recital will feature works by Anthony Plog, Rafael Mendez, Gustavo Campa, and Hiram Rodriguez (world premier).

Session Brass musicians include Dr. Kurt Bonnett, trumpet, Dr. Jonathan Gill, trombone; Dr. Brian Walker, trumpet; Dr. Noel Wallace, bass trombone; and Dr. Angela K. Winter, horn.

Winter, Adams State assistant professor of music, said the Session Brass musicians will work with the brass students at Adams. "They will also give masterclasses to area high school and middle school students as well as students from other area universities." Admission is $5 for general audiences and free to Associated Students and Alumni members.
