Routledge London accepted a book proposal, with revisions, “Acting in the Age of AI: Leveraging Innovation to Enhance Imagination,” by Director of the Center for Teaching, Innovation, and Research Artemis Preeshl, Ed.D.

The School of Education, in collaboration with the SLV BOCES and the Colorado Department of Education, hosted the Rural Colorado Multi-Tiered System of Supports (COMTSS) Summit on July 31 and August 1, 2025. Several Adams State faculty, including School of Counselor Education: Sandra Gavin, Ph.D., assistant professor and Katrina Ruggles, Ph.D., clinical faculty; and School of Education: Curtis Garcia, Ph.D., professor & school director; Janene Mondragon, Ed.D., assistant professor; and Justine Schwarz, Ph.D., assistant professor, served as key members of the planning committee, working with community partners to foster lasting change and meaningful impact across the San Luis Valley. The Rural COMTSS Summit is a dynamic professional learning event that brings together school districts and community-based organizations to address the unique needs and challenges of rural communities in southern Colorado.
