Latin America has a long history of women’s activism, visible especially during times of crisis. As Venezuela descends further into economic disaster and political instability, the particular experiences of women have led to gendered forms of resistance across the political spectrum.
The Adams State University Faculty Lecture, Daughters of Bolivar, Mothers of the Revolution, by Mari Centeno, Ph.D., begins at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in McDaniel 101.
