Derouin sworn-in with ASU Police

Adams State University Police Chief Paul Grohowski and Vice President of Student Affairs Ken Marquez swear-in Erika Derouin on Monday, June 15.

"I am very excited to be a part of the team and help further the department," Deroiun said.

Grohowski pins the badge on Derouin.

Derouin has been a police officer for 15 years, including serving in New York for 12 years as an officer, a detective, and acting supervisor and serving 3 years in the State of Florida as an officer. Adams State Police Chief Paul Grohowski said: "I am pleased to have an officer of Erika’s caliber join our team of professionals."

Others in attendance included Alamosa Police Chief Duane Oakes, Alamosa Police Captain Samuel Maestas, Adams State Police Officer Nathanial Rael, Delilah Chavez, ASU Police Department administrative assistant; and Shannon Heersink, Adams State assistant director of Human Resources.
