Curtis Garcia, Ph.D., Director School of Education, recently facilitated a virtual webinar and panel discussion for the U.S. Department of Education’s Institute of Education Sciences entitled, Experiences from the Field: Perspectives of Teachers of Color. The panel focused on learning about teacher shortages nationally and in Colorado and hearing teacher perspectives about how pathways, positions, policy, and practices influenced their decisions to stay in or leave the teaching profession.
