Adams State University kicks off a series of 100-year birthday celebrations in 2021 with the second annual Adams State Gives Day Talent Show & Telethon on Feb. 15.

The event promises to inspire and entertain as alumni and friends pledge financial support and give back to the University through a live stream event available on Adams State’s live event web platform — adams.edu/live. The 60-minute talent show will begin at 6 p.m.

Students will staff a live telephone bank to accept pledges made during the talent show. Viewers can call in a pledge to 1-844-GIVE-ASU or 844-448-3278. Or, pledges can be made before, during and after the event at OnlineDonation.

Adams State Theatre Director John Taylor and alumna Diana Arias (see related story) will host the show for the second straight year. This year’s talent show features alumni Antonio Lopez and Victoria Ricci in recorded performances, and a live performance from alumnus Sky Choice. The Adams State Chamber Choir and Percussion Ensemble will also perform. Other performances include an art department bronze metal pour and a chemistry magic show. Special appearances from a host of Adams State retired faculty and alumni will also be part of the live stream event. The audience will also see a preview of the Adams100 Documentary Film, which will premiere in the fall of 2021.

The Adams State Facebook page also will carry the event live.
