Adams State University has always been serious about making higher education accessible and affordable. The University’s San Luis Valley Promise is one way Adams State keeps this commitment.

Adams State guarantees all qualified students from the San Luis Valley or neighboring southern Colorado communities will receive grants (not loans) to cover tuition and fees.

To find out more about the SLV Promise, contact the Adams State Financial Aid Office at financialaid@adams.edu or call 719-587-7306.

The SLV Promise Scholarship covers full tuition and fees for the fall and spring semesters at Adams State and will be automatically awarded to qualified students who meet the SLV Promise Award criteria for each academic year.

Students need to be admitted to Adams State and have completed their FAFSA requirements by June 15. Students must also register for fall classes by July 1.

“The SLV Promise Scholarship is our commitment to students growing up in the San Luis Valley and neighboring communities that attending Adams State is affordable and within their reach,” said Adams State President Cheryl D. Lovell. “During what are unprecedented times and with so much uncertainty in the world, it makes sense for our students growing up in the San Luis Valley to stay closer to home for their college education.

“At Adams State, we will help cover the tuition and fee costs for our local students through the SLV Promise. It’s the best investment families can make by staying closer to home and taking advantage of the outstanding academic degree programs offered at Adams State.”

Adams State is preparing to welcome students back to campus for the beginning of the fall academic year, which begins in August.
