Special Olympics Torch Run raises $4,200

A grand total of $4,200 was raised in the recent 2016 Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR), according to Adams State University Chief of Police Paul Grohowski, who organized the event for the second year, held April 30.

"A recent gift of $1,500 from our partners at SLV Health more than doubles the total we raised last year. The funds will support travel for local Special Olympics to the state games," he said.

One-hundred campus and community members joined Special Olympic athletes in the three-mile run, which began and finished at Adams State’s Grizzly statue.
