“The Hunting Ground” exclusive screening at Adams State

The Adams State University Counseling Center will host an exclusive screening of the new documentary "The Hunting Ground," a film by Kirby Dick that premiered this spring at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film examines the issue of sexual assault on college and university campuses. The screening will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, in Carson Auditorium, located in the Student Union Building. The event is free and open to the public.

After the viewing, a talk-back panel featuring Dr. Eden Wales Freedman, assistant professor of English/Communications, Joel Korngut, director of the Office of Equal Opportunity, and Angela Sillas-Green of Tu Casa, will discuss the issues presented in the movie with attendees, with an emphasis on what Adams State and the greater SLV community can do to prevent and to respond to these issues on our campus.
