The Valley Community Chorus concert, "A Celebration of Words in Music," begins at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 10, in the Sacred Heart Church, located in Alamosa, Colo.
This concert pairs the words from religious texts, anonymous texts, and poetry from Robert Frost and Rudyard Kipling with music by Eric Whitacre, Paul Manz, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and others. Included is also an original piece from San Luis Valley’s David Schneider.
"Come and take the journey on which only words and music can take you," said VCC director Schneider.
