Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics

Adams State University is the center of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education (STEM) in southern Colorado. Its small class-sizes, expert faculty and state-of-the-art facilities foster a community of learning that prepares students for a range of careers in STEM fields.
STEM majors at Adams State will experience a blend of classroom learning, course projects, research, field experiences, internships, and informal interactions to develop skills for their future career. Students routinely gather at the Grizzly Tutoring & STEM Center to supplement their coursework with tutoring and group study sessions. In addition, students find time to relax, enjoy a snack, or meet with their peers in the El Centro student lounge.
Students also take advantage of the Alamosa Maker Space at Adams State, where they have access to laser printers, 3D printer, electronics, saws and other tools, as the community comes together to work on large and small projects. Working side-by-side, students round out their STEM educations with hands-on experience.
