Discover Grizzly Life

For the first time since spring of 2020, Adams State is hosting a face-to-face Discover Day! We are so excited to host prospective students and their families on our campus. Fall 2021 Discover Day is Saturday, September 18th starting at 12:30 p.m.

Adams State University is located in the beautiful San Luis Valley of southern Colorado, and is the perfect place to study, work, and live. Adams State offers nearly 20 undergraduate academic programs at a radically affordable price with opportunities far and wide, from internships to clubs, sports, and surrounding mountainous adventure.

At Discover Day, you will learn more about Adams State University by interacting with current ASU students and professors, and will get a first hand look at ASU programs and services. We hope you’ll visit us to learn how you can begin your great story at Adams State!

Below is the agenda for the day:

  • 12:30 p.m. – Check-In/Lunch
  • 1:30 p.m. – Welcome Address
  • 2 p.m. – University Quick Looks (students)
  • 2 p.m. – Financial Aid (families)
  • 3 p.m. – Student Ambassador Panel (students)
  • 3 p.m. – Transfer Student Panel (transfer students)
  • 3 p.m. – Student Services Panel (parents)
  • 4 p.m. – Campus Tour
  • 5:30 p.m. – Tailgate Dinner/Farewell & Prizes
  • 7 p.m. – ASU Football Game! (optional)

For this event, visitors are required to wear masks indoors on our campus.

If you would like to stay in Alamosa before or after the event, there are local lodging options (request ASU Guest Rate), and tasty restaurant options. This season is the perfect time to explore the San Luis Valley-here are some things to do in the area.
