The Gallery exhibit Go Fish, raised $600 through entry fees, proceeds, and donations, to benefit local youth fishing programs. Eugene Schilling, art professor, said donations from the SLV Trout Unlimited Chapter, $200, with support from Project Healing Waters, brought the total to $800.

Rice was impressed with the generosity. “This money will help us with recent efforts to get kids outside and unplugged.” The contribution will be used for equipment, possible stocking of fish, and other youth fishing opportunities.

Seaton said inspiring younger generations in the sport of fishing, is the first step in bringing awareness to environmental conservation.
