Student Support Services

Because we want our students to succeed, we have a variety of services and activities available for student participation. As an added benefit, students may also qualify for scholarship funds through Student Support Services, every year, when they meet the requirements below.

Merit scholarships will also be available to students who hold the highest scoring GPA within each class and meet their respective participation requirements.

Freshmen Minimum Participation Requirements

  • Complete a section of FYS course and participate in tutoring
  • Participate in Mentorship Program
  • Complete 3 academic counseling sessions per semester
  • Complete 2 career counseling session per semester
  • Attend 1 SSS class meeting AND 1 SSS combined meeting per semester
  • Maintain a 2.25 GPA

Sophomore Minimum Participation Requirements

  • Complete 4 academic counseling session per semester
  • Complete 4 career counseling session per semester
  • Attend 1 SSS class meeting AND 1 SSS combined meeting per semester
  • Register for Leadership Class
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA

Junior Minimum Participation Requirements

  • Complete Graduate School Prep Class
  • Complete 2 academic counseling sessions each semester
  • Complete 3 career counseling session per semester
  • Attend 1 class meeting AND 1 SSS combined meeting per year
  • Maintain a 2.75 GPA

Senior Minimum Participation Requirements

  • Complete 2 academic counseling sessions each semester
  • Complete 3 career counseling session per semester
  • Complete an exit interview session
  • Attend one class and one SSS combined meeting
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA
