This opportunity to meet the new Sodexo Chef Gater will include cooking demonstrations at 9 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.

“In keeping with Colorado’s position as a leader in the advancement of hemp, we are committed to seeking valuable input offered by voices in the San Luis Valley and partnering with leading academic institutions, including Adam State University, to explore the potential of this high value crop,” said Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture Kate Greenberg.

Adams State music faculty, students and ensembles will join together to perform both traditional and innovative works by composers who represent diverse cultures, backgrounds, and societal concerns. 

With a strong understanding of the Daf and Tombak, Assadi started learning Barbat (Oud) under Master Mohammad Firouzi to further his skills as a percussionist.

“I like to use poetry because it helps to communicate the rhythm of the landscape, of the people and the creatures—and we’re all water creatures.” he says.

In honor of Hispanic Serving Institution Week and National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Adams State Office of Title V Grant Initiatives will host free events for campus and community members, through September 27.
