Desktop Support Technician – Open

Must have good technical/computer skills, will be working directly with faculty, staff and students on computer related issues. Other duties will include telephone technical support, research, hardware and software installation, repair, upgrades, etc. Student needs to possess strong written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of Apple Macintosh systems a plus.

Audio/Visual Technician – Closed

The AV division of Computing Services has an opening for a Student Audio/Video Technician. Students must have good technical/computer skills. Students need to possess strong written and oral communication skills. You will be working directly with faculty, staff and students on audio/visual related issues. You will be assisting the Manager of Campus AV in installing new equipment, removing old equipment, set up, operation, and tearing down of AV equipment for production events including concerts, athletic events, business conferences, instructional classes, etc. Working some evenings and weekends is required. This position requires significant efforts, such as the regular lifting of heavy objects (30-50 lbs.) working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and working from heights. For safety reasons, candidates must be willing to perform physically demanding work when required. Must be reliable, responsible, and have good customer service and communication skills.

Help Desk Assistant – Open

Must be skilled in customer service as well as effective business and interpersonal communication. Duties include answering the telephone and assisting walk-in customers, responding to emails from students, faculty, and staff. Assist students to activate their account or reset passwords. Entering work tickets when necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge of MS Office and Google Apps is required. Must be able to multitask and work in a team environment.

Lab Assistant/Tech – Open

Lab Assistants will maintain computer labs across campus. This includes, but not limited to; troubleshooting basic pc problems, stock and maintain labs, report issues, install hardware and software, and answer customer questions. Knowledge of Windows, Macintosh, MS Office, and basic knowledge of pc troubleshooting is preferred. Must be reliable, responsible and have good customer service and communication skills.

Network Technician – Open

Must have good technical/computer skills, will be working directly with faculty, staff and students on network related issues. Power and hand tools are used extensively in this position, candidates with experience relating to power and hand tools are preferred. This position requires significant physical efforts, such as the regular lifting of heavy objects (30-50 lbs.), working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, and working from heights. For safety reasons, candidates need to have good eye sight and hearing. Applicant needs to be willing to perform physically demanding work when required. Other duties may include research, repair, and upgrade campus networking equipment. Student needs to possess strong written and oral communication skills.
