The Colorado Promise: Two Free Years of College
The Colorado Promise is a state-funded initiative designed to make college more affordable for Colorado residents. This income-qualified program provides a refundable state tax credit to reimburse students for out-of-pocket tuition and mandatory fees after all other grants and scholarships have been applied, effectively covering the cost for up to 65 college credits (approximately two years).
Important Tax Certificate Information:
Students identified as eligible for the tax credit will receive an official tax certificate to their primary home address after January 16th, 2026
