Access Services – Closed
Student will work under Access Services & Distance Learning Librarian, performing a variety of tasks. Projects include using KIC scanner to scan book chapters or journal articles for course reserves or interlibrary loan (ILL); processing ILL requests for Adams State affiliates using online resource-sharing programs; sending electronic & physical material to other libraries (ILL); determining if we have material in our collections (print or electronic); printing and compiling packets of research for incarcerated students. Must have attention to detail and good problem-solving skills, and must be comfortable asking questions. Must be comfortable learning to troubleshoot tech and use web-based programs.

Circulation – Closed
Students in the Circulation Department work at the Circulation Desk on the 1st floor. This can include some evenings and weekends. Duties include creating and editing patron accounts, checking out books and equipment, checking out and managing interlibrary loans, patron-placed holds and course reserves and organizing and shelving library materials, and shelf-reading duties as assigned.

Serials, E-Resources, Special Collections, and Archives – Closed
Students in the Serials Department help with the day-to-day operations of the department. Duties include collecting morning newspapers, special collection and archive projects, journal check-in and ER & collection development projects.

Patron Placed Holds – Closed
Students work with the Library Technician in charge of Prospector patron-placed holds and book inventory. Duties include utilizing circulation software to process borrowing requests from other libraries, retrieving and checking books. record-keeping using Excel, preparing books to send out on the library courier system and scanning book barcodes and producing reports for review by supervisor.

Inter-Library Loan–Lending – Closed
Students must have a working knowledge of the structure of journal citations or be able to learn quickly, must know how to use a microfilm reader and copier or be able to learn quickly Must be comfortable learning to troubleshoot tech and use web-based programs.
