Miller Analogies Test

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a graduate level exam which tests the takers’ verbal comprehension and analytical thinking through a series of analogies. The questions on this exam test semantics, classifications, association, and logical/mathematical relationships. Content areas consist of any of the following: Humanities, Mathematics, Language, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and General content.

Scheduling and Information

Students must:

  • Schedule an exam time to ensure testing room and computer availability
  • Testing for the MAT is typically scheduled at either 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. on Wednesday afternoons and is subject to availability
  • Students must schedule at least two week in advance
  • Present two valid forms ID that adheres to the MAT requirements found in the Candidate Information Booklet
  • Receipt of payment is required before administration or registration can begin
  • $75 fee must be paid at the Adams State Student Union Building cashier prior to exam
  • Secure all personal belongings and unauthorized testing aids including cell phones and other electronic devices
