The following fees are the responsibility of the student or a representative of the student. The Grizzly Testing and Learning Center reserves the right to change these fees as necessary. Students are required to present a receipt of payment before examination time. If students do not have a receipt, their exams will not be administered.
Exam Fees to Students
- ALEKS* – $5 per exam
- Courtesy Exams** – $20 for the first three hours and $10 for each additional hour
- Miller Analogies Test (MAT) – $75 per exam
Note: Students must still pay a base fee for exams even if they are Accommodation exams. They will not be charged for additional time based on accommodations allowed.
Exams with No Fees
- Distraction Reduced (ADA)
- English Placement Exam (EPE)
- Major Field Test (MFT)
- Make-up Exams
*Incoming students are allowed five attempts to take the ALEKS. The first attempt does not need to be proctored. The second attempt requires a proctor and will be free of charge. The third through fifth attempts will be assessed the above fee, per exam if proctored at The Grizzly Testing and Learning Center.
** Courtesy exams include exams for Distance programs, Adams State Extended Studies, or any other type of exam not affiliated with Adams State University on-campus courses.
