The University plans on staging the live telethon each February to benefit students attending Adams State.

“I am excited about joining the amazing faculty, staff, and students at Adams State University,” Buchanan said. 

“We are pleased that our elementary education program was one of only five in Colorado recognized with this rating and we believe it accurately reflects the high quality of teacher training we provide at Adams State University,” said Curtis Garcia, Teacher Education Department Chair.

Community members of Alamosa and the San Luis Valley are invited to be part of the live audience inside Richardson Hall Auditorium.

The 2020 rankings are calculated through a unique scoring system which includes student engagement, potential return on investment, and leading third-party evaluations.

The newly named master’s degrees are perfect for prospective students who want to target specific disciplines.

Once cancer survivors are selected, they will be pre-tested and then randomly assigned to an exercise group or control group.

Alumni, faculty and staff, students, and friends and community members are invited to help tell the story of Adams State by submitting nominations for the most influential Adams Staters and sharing a memory of their time at the University.

“Adams State is a special place that serves a unique mission, and I’m proud to have served that mission for nearly a quarter century,” said Mortensen.

“We are extremely appreciative and grateful to receive support from so many agencies, community members, and volunteers who continue to participate in this initiative year after year,” Martinez said.
